4 years

To my perfect husband,

4 years ago today at this moment I was dreaming of what my life would be like while my sister and best friend got their hair done. I wasn't at all nervous or anxious, I was extremely excited yet calm.

At the time I didn't know how blessed I was. I knew that I had found a pretty extraordinary guy, I just didn't know that you would really change my life.

I know that you love me more today than yesterday and the day before and the day before. You have stood by me through this marriage the whole time and have never let go. You have never screamed or yelled at me. I don't know how you have kept so strong.

I have complained that you are so close to perfection because you don't drink, yell, cuss, say hurtful things. You are always calm and sweet. It has taken me four years to realize that, that is what I love about you. You are perfect and perfect for me.

I love you Aaron, more today then ever before. You are my life and I am so thankful that you love me just as much.

These lyrics to our first dance really do fit us perfectly. I might make you dance with me tonight to this song ;)

Baby when I look at you
You know it breaks my heart in two
How beautiful you are
I've seen you in a million dreams
Now you're finally here with me
We will never be apart
I wanna hold you forever
That's all I'll ever need

You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, My reality
I love everything you are

Every time I close my eyes
It hits me so deep inside
How real this feeling is
I'm intoxicated by your touch
Its a sweet, sweet rush
I'm in love with your kiss
You're the one I trust the most
You changed me

You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, My reality
I love everything you are

You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, My reality
I love everything you are

Everything, I love everything you are.

I LOVE YOU!!!!

Twas the Night before Christmas.............

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house was excitement stirring and lots of little laughs...............

First things first, Aunt Mollie gives them a bath,

then on with their pj's with no stocking or cap!

They layed out the magic reindeer food and some carrots too, in hopes that Santa would be here really really soon!
Santa's cookies were out, but their is one thing we forgot. To hang the stockings for St. Nick to leave us a lot!

Now off to sleep so Santa will come. We'll dream of candy and sweets and there will be sugar plums dancing in our dreams.

MERRY CHRSTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

We're Alive!

We just got home yesterday from Arkansas and had a wonderful Christmas. A white Christmas, but not as white as Topeka had.
Our neighbors took this picture while we were gone so we could know what to look for when we got home.
Luckily Aaron's mom came over and shoveled so we could at least get in the drive.

We did have a great Christmas even though the four of us were sick. We survived, just slept more than normal.

Taylynn enjoyed celebrating Jesus' Birthday I'll have lots of pictures once I can get all 300 of them on the computer and edited.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas as well and I look forward to catching up to all the blogs!

10 WEEKS

Yesterday we had our first Dr. appointment for little baby Bivens. The whole family came and did very well. Taylynn was saying the whole day she didn't want a baby only because I said we had to go to the dr.

We heard the heartbeat almost right away. It was a wonderful sound. Taylynn said it sounded like rain, it made me laugh so hard that the dr. lost the location of the heart.

I also got the H1N1 shot. The kids were in the room so I asked Taylynn to come hold my hand. She said no and hid behind her daddy. Preston looked at me with worried eyes and grabbed my hand and held it tight, oh so sweet. That is something I don't think I'll ever forget.

I have grown three inches around, but no weight gain yet, Thank Heavens!

I don't go back to the dr until the end of January, so probably no updates until then. I am guessing my due date is July 21, but it seems when they do the sonogram the date always changes.

Bible Study Friends

My ladies Bible Study took a break the month of December since it is such a crazy month. We just finished up Beth Moore's Believing God study and it was wonderful. I can't wait to get back in and do another study of hers. It is a lot of work and discipline, but I have been missing it.

We still made time to get together. In November we had a mini shower for my good friend Ali. It was a surprise. I had planned on doing something for her before she had her baby, so I thought why not add a shower to the mix.

We met at a local coffee shop and had coffee, breakfast and fun. Ali got lots of good stuff for her baby boy who was on the way.

Afterward I took her to get her nails done and it just so happened two of the other ladies were planning on going too. Every pregnant woman NEEDS a pedicure before she goes into labor.

Ali ended up having her baby on November 29th, His name is Abe and he was 8 pounds on the dot. He is pretty perfect and an awesome gift from God.

I love this picture. I stole it from Ali's Facebook. Thanks Ali!
In December we met again for a pottery Christmas Party. We got to pick out an item to paint then spend however long you want painting it. I made one plate and it still took me over an hour. It was just really fun to get the group together and have fun.
Merry Christmas girls. I love ya'll!

Snow fun!

Taylynn has played in the snow before, but didn't care much about anything other than eating it. Last week we had our first snow and Taylynn and Preston were so excited. I knew we had to go out and play. It took me probably 15 minutes to get the three of us dressed, but it was worth it.

Taylynn loved it, she make snow angels and tried building a snowman. She even threw snowballs at Preston and I. Preston loved riding in the sled. When I would turn he would just tip out because he wouldn't shift his weight or even hold on. He had fun falling into the snow.

In three days we went out three times and I wish I could capture their joy and expressions on camera, but these pictures don't do them justice.

I can't wait until they are older and we can sled down big hills. I know I'll have fun, ha!

First Hair cut

Preston had his first Haircut in November. He did great, he was so unsure of what was happening he just froze. It is sad to see this day come and go, but I am loving watching him grown into a sweet boy.

Before:

During:

After:
Preston is my cuddle buddy. He loves hugs and love to be held. He isn't much for Tv, but loves to read books about animals and bugs. He is a boyish boy, until he finds Taylynn dress up clothes
Preston is 20 months and his 2nd birthday is coming up. We might have to have a bug party, ha!

Show us your Life- Christmas Cookies

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas cookies.

My favorite would be these wreaths:

30 lg. marshmallows
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tsp. green food coloring
4 1/2 c. Corn Flakes
Red cinnamon candies

The red hot make all the difference!

Also these are fun and easy reindeer cookies:

Nutter butters
Melted Chocolate
Pretzels
You can do anything for the eyes, sprinkles, icing chocolate chips

And of course I make yummy sugar cookies, but if only I could decorate them like this:

Happy Holidays! Be sure to save some cookies for Santa!

Christmas is coming.....

The excitement is in the air. Christmas is going to be really fun this year. Taylynn really knows how to get into those presents and gets so excited to play with them. Preston loves being around people and we'll be around lots during Christmas.

I need to send out Christmas cards, but I am not sure I'll get to it. I think a lot of people have been buying labels for stocking suffers, so I have been pretty busy. I really need to buy my own printer, that would save me so much time.

Today Taylynn had her 3 year check up and I had to ask her some questions for her development chart.
Mom: "Taylynn, what do you do when your hungry?"
Taylynn: "I eat daddy's cookie"

Mom: "What do you do when you are cold?"
Taylynn: "I put on my jacket and gloves and go outside in the snow"

Mom: "What do you use a chair for?"
Taylynn: "I sit in it to watch Elmo"

Mom: "What do you do when you are tired?"
Taylynn: "I get my blanket and read my princess book"

I was laughing so much. I am gonna love this next year!

Bun in the oven

So I had a really cute video to show you of my husband finding a hot dog bun in oven.
I found out I was pregnant while he was at work, so I wanted to do something special to surprise him with the news.
I decided I would pretend I was cooking, so I had a pot of boiling spices going and the oven on with a single hot dog bun inside.
When he got home, I asked for some help and asked if he would get the bread out of the oven.
He didn't think it was strange that he pulled a single bun out of the oven, he thought it was strange that I was video taping him.

I kept asking him if he got it, but he didn't. I think he forgot about the bun and was focusing on being on tape. I had to remind him he pulled a hot dog bun out of the oven. Then he got it. I was a really cute and sweet video, but some little boy named Preston got a hold of the tape and ripped it. I was basically in tears because that was 6 months of their lives. Anyway I am working on finding someone to fix it.

On with the news: I am 8 weeks and feeling not so great. I am tired and nauseous. I don't have a preference on a boy or girl. I do think boys are easier, but we have so many boys around us. Taylynn needs another girl to be girly with.

My due date is July 21st. I have my first appointment on the 22nd of December, I am excited to hear the heartbeat for the first time. I feel so blessed to be pregnant again, I am just praying for another health baby.

Birthday Party

Taylynn had her Birthday Party on Saturday and she had so much fun. It was a Christmas theme birthday party so I decorated the tree and house in pink and glitter.

We decorated ornaments, played pass the ornamentand made jingle bell necklaces. As the party favor they got to make their own bags of candy from the candy bar.
Of course her favorite parts were cake and presents. I am not sure if she wished for anything because once the song was over those candles were out!

She did wonderful opening presents, but she wanted to play with each thing after opening it. I think I said "later" 2o times while she was opening presents.

I am sad she is three, but this has been the best three years of my life.

Colorado Springs Zoo

One of the days in Colorado we spent at the zoo in the mountains. It was awesome, minus all the walking up hill, Ha!
Taylynn and Preston love animals and this zoo was so different than the Topeka zoo. The giraffes were up close and they had animals they had never seen in person like penguins. We had a great day and I am sure we'll be back to the zoo next time we visit Colorado Springs.
