Laundry disaster

***UPDATE**** Since it has been guess, I will come out and say, yes, it was a diaper. Pull up actually, but whats the difference? Wife, mom and slave got it right along with Molly. Oh and Lindsey when this happens to you atleast you'll know :) Thanks for guessing.

So the other day I was going to finish all the laundry in the house. I was on my third load and was changing the washed clothes into the dryer, when all of a sudden I pull out a towel and all these little clear ice looking things come flying out.
Here is a picture of what I saw:
I had to go outside a shake off each piece of clothing, then rewash the clothes.
This is after I shook them all out
I had no clue what this was and their was a million little pieces. The stuff felt like pieces of jello and had no smell to them. What do you think it was?

I will give everyone sometime to comment on what they thing happened then I'll update this entry in a few hours with what happened and who got it right.
Here are a few more pictures:

Jillian

I just got done watching the Bachelorette and this season is going to be a good one. Jillian didn't pick the guy that I thought would be at the end. His name is Caleb and he didn't even make it to the top 15. Actually they hardly showed him on the show at all. Here is a picture of him, he is adorable. It turns out he was a roommate of a guy I have known for year, how funny. Oh and check out his photography website here he has some great shots.
And what about the guy who was checking out her feet, how weird was that? To judge someone on their feet is crazy, what if that person got in an accident and lost a toe, or worse their whole foot?
Well, lets hope Kiptyn or Jake make it to the end. Some of those guys I am not so sure about. We'll see!!!!

One busy weekend.

This week we decided to have a garage sale, and boy did we need to. I started getting stuff ready on Wednesday night for a garage sale starting at 7am the next morning. I had a lot of work cut out for me. Aaron helped me so much, I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who takes good care of me. We got everything ready by 11 that night and we hit the sack around 12ish to get back up at 6:30am. Oh, I was so tired.
The sale went well and by Saturday afternoon we closed it with only one box of stuff left to keep and one box to give away. We sold so much stuff, bringing in about 300 dollars yay!!!!
Saturday night we went to dinner to celebrate our new earned money at Applebees and came home and watched Seven Pounds. It was a good movie, not sure I'd watch it again though. Earlier this week we watched Benjamen Button, that was really good and I could watch it again tonight.

Today we went to church and learned about serving the Lord. Serving is something that come easy to me in the outside world. I love giving to others and doing whatever needs to be done without wanting something in return. The area I struggle is in my own home.

I have a scripture up in my kitchen :
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve other, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4: 8-9

I look to this verse when I am struggling to get things done around the house, for all the stay-at-home moms I think you know how hard it is to pick up a house to watch it being torn apart just before your husband gets home. For those who go to work, I know it is even harder because you want to spend time with family and not being cleaning and cooking when your home.
I really want to serve my husband, but I have had a really hard time with this. So this week I am going to focus and pray that I can serve my husband. What area in life do you feel the need to serve in?

On to the weekend, after church we picked up some Arby's and headed to the zoo, I will let the pictures do the talking, but if you can't tell we had so much fun.

This is a bear in the tree.

After the zoo we came home to rest. I borrowed Bride Wars from a friend and watched that while the kids slept and Aaron worked on the landscaping. It was nice to have some chick-flick quite time.

For dinner and some great conversation we went to out friends/neighbors house to have some yummy burgers. Ryan and Jill are our good friends and they have an adorable son named Chase who turns 1 on the 2oth. They also have two new puppys, Tucker and Boomer. Here are some pictures of the night.

This was Taylynn in the process of kiss.

We had a busy weekend, but I am beat. Lets hope for a good nights rest. Sleep tight!

Guest room, you mean dungeon?

So this week on Kelly's Korner we are doing guest rooms. I am sad to say mine is not great, but we made do with what we have.

My parents are the only ones who have spent the night and since we have no extra rooms upstairs they have to sleep in the basement. No the problem isn't that it is so far away, the problem is our basement is unfinished.

I did the best I could to make a beautiful room surrounded by concrete walls. One day we want to finish our basement and we will make it extra special for my parents because of all they have gone through. We are so glad they still come to see us even if they feel like they are in a dungeon.

Enjoy!- What their is to enjoy anyway.
This is looking into the "room"

I went though a Hawaiian kick for a while

I love my elephant table, I saw it at a Bombay store and had to have it

These are my cute hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil monkeys.

This is by far not my proundest room in the house, but thanks for checking in :)

Have you ever lost a child in a store?

From what I hear loosing a child in a store is common. I never thought it would happen to me because I was always cautious. I take that back.

Yesterday I met my friend Keri for coffee and Barnes and Noble, we chatted and had a good time. The kids seemed to be in a good mood, so I thought I would run next door to Kohl's. We were in and out pretty fast, I knew what I was looking for and it wasn't there.

On the way home I thought I'd go try out Gordmans. Gordmans is like a department store and our Gordmans is not in the best area of town. The kids were getting cranky so I new this would be a quick trip, so I thought. From the moment we got out of the car Taylynn was throwing a fit, I should have put her back in and left.
Once we got in the store I put Preston in the cart and I let Taylynn walk, she spent most of the time being dragged because she refused to walk with me. I don't like her walking behind me, because I am afraid someone is going to run off with her.

Taylynn would stop in her tracks and not move, I would call her to come to me and she would not. We FINALLY made our way to the toys where she completely chaned her attitude and was being sweet and kind and actually listening to me. We headed to the check out with a quick detour to look at some dresses. Taylynn has started playing hide and go seek and ran to hind in the jeans. This was in the corner of the store and no one else was around, so I was ok with it

I began calling her to go check out and I was bending down so I could see where her little feet were hiding, and could not see a thing. I began calling her and I heard her say "yes ma'ma". Too bad I can only hear out of one ear and can't tell direction.

In a moments notice I began to panic, I asked a few people if they had seen her, but no one had. I didn't want to go far from my orignal spot, but I also was the only one looking for her. If only you could have seen me walking across the store, ok it was really speed walking faster then you have ever seen.

I went from the jeans to the register, to the jeans, to the toys. And guess where I found her.........the toys. She didn't even no she was alone, probably because she heard me shouting her name all across the store. I gave her a speech and told her I was scared and she can't run off, I was almost in tears by this point. On the way out I had 5 employees ask me if that was the girl that was lost, I am glad they were looking out for her.

From now on my eyes will be glued to her even more than before. It is a scray thing to loose a child and I hope it never happeneds again.

Bachelorette- Take your guess

Mondays is a girls night for my two friends and I. Lindsey and Keri are my girlfriends and we either play mahjong (the real chinese game) with dancing with the stars in the background or watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette. We always have food, I'll have to start taking pictures of the great stuff we make. So the Bacholette is back up in one week and we are so excited. Here is the run down from my point of view.

Jillian was let go by Jason last season on the Bachelor, she was lucky to be let go before the ring wass given out. Jillian is a fun, artsy girl with a strong pesonality. She is a resturant deisgner from Canada who has great style also in clothes. I always loved her clothes when she was on the Bachelor, it makes me want to go shopping in Canada.

Now it is her turn to meet 25 guys and hopfully fall in love - that sounds like something Chris Harris the host would say.

I have done a little research before the show starts so I can make my own predictions on who I like and who I think she will end up with. Remember this is based on their picture, age, hometown, and profession. I think the pictures do most of the talking. You can take a look at all the information on the men here

Here are my predictions for some of the front runners and one I think are kinda cute, but not going to make it to the end:

Brian, IT consultant who lives in Atlanta. I think he is cute, like an all American boy cute. My husband works in IT and maybe it is something about a smart man that attracts me. I like him and I think he'll be in the top 4.

Caleb, he is from Kansas City and a photographer. Jillian is an artsy girl and I think with Caleb being a photographer they will have a lot to talk about. I predicted he'll be in the top 2.

Greg, he is an entrepreneur is Scottsdale, AZ. I think he is cute and will make it a few weeks, but he looks short and I think she likes them tall. They should add their height to the list of info.
Oh and apparently he does some break dancing with a break dance instructor, Michael. (Below)

Michael, break dancer instructor from New York. He looks cute and since Jillian is from Canada, they have the whole northern thing in common, but honestly I can't see her with him. He'll make the first cut, but I am not sure if he'll go any further.

Jake, oh Jake! He looks adorable, but he is a pilot and what does that mean for a future family? I think he could be a good catch for her, but it depends on if she is the type to be alone once in a while.

Wes, he is a musician from TX. He also fits into the artsy category that I think Jillian will click with. He is good looking, and I bet his southern accent will woo Jillian.

Kiptyn, I saved my favorate for last. He is from CA and is a business developer. He looks really sweet from the outside and I hope after watching the show his looks are just as sweet inside and out. I can just see them together, but we'll see. Watch him not even make the first cut :(

So these are just a few of the guys, the ones I thought were worth talking about. I think she will pick Caleb. I am just taking a guess, I have not done reserch to try and spoil the ending, I am souly taking a guess.

The girls and I always vote after the first show on who we think she'll pick. Now I am doing it a step further and guessing without seeing them on Tv yet. You should take a guess too.
Take a look the 25 guys and tell me your prediction.

Everyone tune in next Monday, the first show is always my favorite.

Mother's Day- warning, lots of pictures!!!

Today was a great day. A blessed day, like everyday I have with my children. It started out last night going to dinner with just my husband. It has always been important for us to have some of our own time together. We went to a small chinese dive, called Oriental Express. It is a drive thru and dine in, but oh so good. We had a great time. After a good nights rest I was woken up with breakfast in bed, Spangles, nothing homemade (probably a good thing). Then off to church which we were a little rushed to make it by 9:30, but we did it. We had a great sermon about silence. I learned it is ok to turn the TV and radio off, time with God in silence can be more than entertainment from a TV or radio. Say "no" to noise and "yes" to Jesus. I need to spend more time in silence and talking with the Lord. Lesson leanred, check!

After church we picked lunch up a Quizno's and a Sonic drink for me, because it's a speical day and if we need to stop at two places then thats ok. After lunch I made sure my mother in law was out of the house and I left to fix up her back deck. Taylynn and Preston helped me make some flower pots for their Oma for Mother's day.
Here is a before and after picture of the deck:

BEFORE
AFTER

She was surprised!! After the fix up, I met her at TJ Maxx to do some shopping. All I came out of that store with was a metal pear, but I had fun.

Once I got home I began dinner. We grilled out for my Mother in Law who the kids call Oma (german for grandma). Here are some pictures.

It was great to have the family there, I cannot believe I didn't take a picture of everyone.

I got this necklace from Aaron, I am still waiting on a couple charms that were ordered. This is a Brighton necklace, so adorbale and just what I was looking for.
The T stands for Taylynn and the 4 is because they
were both born on the 4th. I am still waiting on the P for
Preston and A for Aaron.

From the children, I got this diaper pod. I had one from Taylynn, but it is worn out so I wanted a new one. These fit great in your purse.

Today was a great day. I want to share with you some of the important mothers in my life:

Deborah-
My mom, she is wonderful and an amazing mother and grandmother. I am blessed to have leanred so much from her. I wish we could see her more, but we are lucky for the times we have with her.

Martha-
My Grandma, she is a fun and generous grandma with so much love in her heart. The children call her GG and love her so much even though they don't get to see her too much. She lives in Louisiana, but we have plenty of pictures for the kids to look at and point to GG.

Janice-
My mother in law has dedicated her life to loving her Grandchildren, she has 5 of them and love them all the same. She has been so wonderful to us, by letting us go out on a date night while she watches the kids. We are so thankful for her.

Wally-
My Grandma in law. Although she lives in Colorado, she is a big part of our lives. I love how she is open and honest. She has a sweet heart and is always fun to sit and have chat with.I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
