Day 4

Today we enjoyed a morning at the beach then headed out to pick up pizza for lunch and take the kids to a Shark Museum/gift shop.

After lunch we hit the beach again. Aaron was borrowing a skim board and trying a new trick, but Taylynn was not happy. She was so afraid of him getting hurt. Every time the board got away from him she ran, and I mean RAN to get it so he wouldn't do it again.

Doug, Mollie and Jack brought us some cool drinks for us, thanks guys, they were yummy!

It was our turn to make dinner so I made enchiladas. Then, we had a scavenger hunt to go on. My mom planned some fun things, but Aaron and I have yet to win, so this was our chance.
We had 45 minutes to get everything on the list and get back to the condo. I was excited to be doing this with the kids, I think they had no clue what was going on though.
We got back with 8 minutes remaining and we WON!!!!! We even got an Olive Garden gift card for winning, yay!!! Thanks mom for all your fun activities, we had so much fun!

Day 3

Day three
We'll is it a surprise if I tell you we spent most the day outside? We woke up and Aaron and Taylynn headed to the sand to write all the kids names with dried seaweed. They got her name done then came up to get the rest of us. I helped with the rest, three names is a lot when making letters big enough to see from the 9th floor. You'll be able to tell in the picture below how big the letters are compared to the children.

We spent more time than usual in the pool today. Taylynn and Preston really figured out their arm floaties and they even began jumping in the pool without being caught. I was a proud mommy.

Alayna sure is adorable too!

Today grandma and Paw-paw made hotdogs for lunch and had some shrimp for dinner. I enjoy shrimp, but Aaron is not a seafood eater. We decided we would go on a date night, so we got all dressed up (meaning we weren't in our bathing suits) and realized the kids matched too so we took some family pictures. Thanks to our wonderful photographers:
Aaron and I went to an Italian place called Vinnie R's, so good. No pictures, I had to put the camera down for a bit :)

Day 2

I am writing this on day 6 so I am trying to remember the specifics of day two, but I think they went something like this:

It was another early morning for the Bivens Family. The only other person up in the condo is my dad. He gets up at the crack of dawn so he can get the best spot for our umbrellas and chairs. Thanks dad for all those early mornings. It was awesome having the best seats at the ocean.
We ate a quick breakfast then headed out to the beach. Today was a sandcastle building contest, so we worked for a little bit then realized it was just too hard to build a castle with three children needing attention, so we did the best we could.
My mom and I did some snorkeling and found some neat shells. I really enjoy snorkeling.............as long as it close to the coast!

Mollie and Doug had kitchen duty, they made yummy BLT sandwiches for lunch and lasagna for dinner.

It was a really relaxing day. Alayna even feel asleep on daddy's shoulder while we played outside in the sand.

The cousins had a fun time playing together before bed. The adults played the Newly Wed game. It was really fun, but Aaron and I didn't win. Mollie and Doug were the winners. Thanks mom for coming up with all these fun things to do, we really appreciate all the work you put into making this such a special time! Look at this special board she made with our daily menu and activity. So cute!

Florida day 1!!!!

Day 1, I started the day by running to WalMart to stock up on things we'd need for the week and our days worth of food.
- Every family had a days worth of food and they were in charge of cooking.

Once I got back (it was only like 7:30 ish) we got dressed in our suits and hit the beach. We planned on spending most the time at the ocean rather than the pool, so they would learn to enjoy the ocean and not always want to go to the pool.

Taylynn from the beginning was a dare devil. She loved it. Preston was a bit more on the timid side, but he warmed up to it.

We had some yummy sandwiches and steaks for dinner, thank you mom and dad!!!

We also walked the pier to take the kids to the "kids bar" where they could order cokes, snow cones and candy.

After dinner we went crab hunting and all was fun and swell until we caught a "big" crab" and it freaked Taylynn and Preston out.

It was a great first full day at the beach!
