Show us your life- China pattern

Show us your life- China Edition

This was a fun week because this was the first time I have really gotten my China out. Aaron and I got married almost 5 years ago and we (or I) registered for Lenox Solitaire Square China.

We didn't receive much china for our wedding, I think the down fall of the china I picked was it didn't come in a place setting, you had to buy all the parts separately. And I don't think anyone wanted to just buy us a plate. We did receive some great gifts though, a lot of which for for our everyday dishes, which I'll attach some pictures of those too.

So we have some piece, random piece, of which include only two dinner plates which you will see in the following pictures. One day I hope to have a beautiful china cabinet to store all our china in. And one day I hope to use it :)

Here is some of my everyday dishes
Don't forget about my giveaway for dishwasher safe labels or home address labels. Go HERE to leave a comment.

I need to do a giveaway!

Giveaway time again. I have no reason other than for fun!

You have your choice between dishwasher safe labels or address labels. I have been making address labels for my self and as gifts, but I haven't decided to sell them on etsy yet. That probably won't happen until after Alayna is born and my life feels back on track.

This is a sample of the address labels:

And here are some samples of the labels:
You will win, one set (30 labels)
to enter leave me a comment on whether you would like dishwasher safe labels or address labels.
If you have a baby shower coming up these are great to give as a gift. Also if you know someone who lives to far to visit, sending the labels in the mail is a nice surprise.

1 entry for leaving a comment
2 entries for link my giveaway on your blog or facebook

I'll leave the giveaway open until Sunday.

Good luck!

Feeding the Geese

Aaron took Taylynn and Preston to feed the geese one Saturday morning while I was at the Farmers Market. It looks like they had a great time and had a lot of geese to feed.

They even got to see a momma duck and her babies
I am so thankful to have a husband that comes up with fun things to do when I am away. Thank you honey, I love you and Taylynn and Preston do too!

Random Acts

Random acts of kindness is our topic for Show us Your Life at Kelly's Korner

One of my spiritual gifts is being there for others. I have a sense to see a need and figure out how I can be of some help.
These are pretty small acts like taking pictures at a birthday party, so the parents can enjoy the party, or picking up a small treat at the store to make someone feel good. The littlest things can mean the most if you are doing it from the heart.

Today I am cooking a meal for a new mom, that is always a great act of kindness, any new mom will tell you that. Something else for new moms would be taking the other siblings out for a while and having a play date so mom can have time just with the new baby.

I just enjoy being there when someone needs an extra hand, or when someone needs to feel special.

I think the most important thing to remember when doing acts of kindness is about serving the Lord and not yourself.

Philippians 2:4
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

I think it is important for our children to not just see us being kind, but to have them help out and begin their own acts of kindness. This can be as simple as having them pick up a coin someone dropped and give it back. Our children pick up so much at a young age, we want to make sure they see what is important and that is serving in Christ name.

Happy Birthday Brighton!

Last Thursday we had a girls night, dinner and a movie. The weather was wonderful so we got to eat outside.

This Thursday is my niece, Brighton's sixth birthday!
We celebrated on Tuesday with dinner, cake and gifts.
Preston was cracking up during the lighting of the candles and singing, this is him laughing.

Sneak Peek!

I ordered these shirts on etsy from lilshabebe and I am so excited to get them. She just sent me this picture and I was so excited I thought I'd share it with you too.

Aren't they the cutest big/lil, sis/bro shirts you have ever seen. I am kinda obsessed with owls at the moment, so I am in love with them.

I am getting things done for baby Alayna. I have been working on hospital treats for the visitors that come to see her. I have her bed ready and clothes and blankets washed, I am just looking for a place to put her things. I still need to get bibs made, do a deep clean of the house, get my nails done :), figure out what I am going to wear at the hospital, pick out Alayna clothes for the hospital, and the list goes on.

I am getting excited. I am 33 weeks today and finally reaching that restless stage. I wake up about 4-5 times a night and I have a hard time falling back asleep. It will all be worth it in 6 weeks. Yes, six that is the good part about having a C section you don't go 40 weeks, you get to have your baby a week early.

My sister, who is also pregnant just had a 3d sonogram done. She is due October 4th. Here is her blog.

Off to swim lessons. Have a great day!
