Recap of the 4th and lots of pictures

Yesterday was a great day. The morning started out with Aaron going to Wal-Mart and getting powdered donuts (yes I know these aren't good for the calorie counting diet, but it's a holiday) and he also brought home New Moon the 4th Twilight book. Too bad it was such a busy day I couldn't start it until today.

We got everyone dressed and took some pictures of the kids

We also got all the neighbor kids together and did group pictures, aren't they so cute!

After pictures we went to the Spirit of Kansas Fair.
Free train ride, free face paint, free bouncer, fun!!!!!

Chase and Jill came with us, look at this sweet boys eyes, he is adorable.

The kids all loved the bouncy toy.

Naps were in order for Preston, but Taylynn couldn't sleep and miss a moment of excitement. Her and her daddy played on our neighbors new water toy.

Preston finally woke up and played too.

Now on the block party!

We hope everyone had a great 4th!

Show us where you live Friday!

Kelly is hosting Show us where you Live Fridays and today is yard/garage.

We have run out of room in our garage, it honestly is a mess of toys.

My husbands stuff is organized :)

Ok the yard. We have been working on this since our house was built (2005). We have planted and replanted a lot. This past weekend we worked some more, but have a few plants that need to be planted still. We got our landscape plan from a local nursery and we have just been taking baby steps to get it done. We are almost there. Check the plan out, but no copying please.

Here is the front. Since we just planted last weekend we have a lot of baby stuff. Next summer I'll compare the difference a year makes. It's kinda like how a baby, changes a lot the first year.

Back yardWe have a lot of work ahead of us, but I do really enjoy working in the yard.

Chasing Chase

The other day we had the privileged to watch out neighbor Chase. He is really close to Preston so I am predicting they'll be good friends. I took some pictures of his time at our house. Oh and yes this is what my kids look like at home in the summer.

Here are some pictures from yesterday, the kids soaking up the sun while getting sticky popsicle juice all over them. That sums up summer around our house.

And this is Taylynn and Preston at this moment. They have been sitting their for 3o minutes now watching a movie on the Disney Channel.
