Caroline is 30!

Yes, another 30th birthday around here, but this time it is the most special lady in my life, Caroline's. This is her husband Aaron and I just thought I would leave a quick message before her special day is over. Unfortunately, her birthday fell on Easter this year, so she had to share the spotlight, so we tried to make it special on the 30th just so it could be about her, sprinkled in with a favorite lunch of hers on Easter.

Caroline,
It is crazy to think that 31 days after I was born, my future wife was brought into this world. What a special gift from God you have been. I can't thank your parents enough for bringing you into this world. You are my world and I would be lost without you. You are the sweetest and most kind-hearted person I know, always putting yourself before others; a true testament to a follower of Jesus, a servant's heart. What you do for myself and the kids is more than I could have ever asked for; I am so fortunate and blessed to wake up next to you every day.

It is hard to believe this is your 12th birthday we have spent together, yet there are so many more to look forward to. You deserve the world and I hope throughout our life, I can make you feel as special as you deserve. Even though the kids can't recognize it now, they have a one in a million mom and will be able to look towards you for advice, love and compassion. You are shaping our children to be Godly and follower's of Jesus, and that is the best thing in the world. To so many others, you are the creative genius behind so many parties, invitations, gifts, etc. because the list goes on. However, at home you are the best mom, and most beautiful and caring wife. You are everything I could have asked for in a wife: beautiful, kind, generous, feisty, forgiven, Jesus lover, compassionate. You overlook my shortcomings and help me to be a better husband.

On this 30th birthday, you have so many people thinking about you, because they think you are as great as I do. You are loved by so many people and I hope you realize how special you are. You are the sunshine of my day and what I look forward to everyday I wake up and when I come home from work. While this birthday is a big one, being in a new decade and all, it is just one year more we have grown together as a union and as a family. I'm so excited for our future together and the continuing journey of our family of 6. You are loved so much on this special day and will continued to be loved.

Happy Birthday!

Your Husband

Spring Break

I started off spring break with a horrible cold, but I didn't let it spoil the fun!!!
The first night we let the kids stay up a little late (in hopes they would ALL sleep in) and they thought that was special. I put on Pippy Longstocking, a fav in our house. Oh, and no one slept in :(

The next day we went to Billy Vanilly for a cupcake and then Chick-fil-a for lunch.

Don't forget to look at Chandler's feet in this next one!! This is what I deal with.silly boy!

Tuesday, Aaron and I had a date night. This doesn't happen very often, so I thought I should include it!

We went to dinner and then to see the new OZ movie, which I loved! It was a fun night, I love when we have some quiet moments to ourselves.

On Wednesday, I was feeling much better just in time to head to Missouri to see my brother and his family. We hit up Branson first, it was a cold day, but the warmest of the week! We only had time for four rides because it was sooo busy, we have season passes though so we'll have plenty of chances to ride all the rides.

Alayna rode Fire in the Hole, a ride I grew up LOVING!!! If you ask me....she liked it. However, I am pretty sure she would tell you otherwise.

After a fun few hours we went to my brother, Robert and sister in law, Deborah's house. It was a short visit, but so good to see them and have some fun together.

I will say a couple of things messed up our plans!!! One, that first night I got HIVES......yes, again. I have been getting them since high school, but the last time was when I was barley pregnant with Alayna, so it's been three years!!! I survived the rest of the trip, but I was constantly on benadryl so I'm lucky I have pictures so I can remember it all. The second thing was the SNOW!!! Not what I expected on spring break! Deborah and I were out flea market shopping when it started and that ride home was scary, oh and we got stuck and had to be pushed up a hill!! The drive home was even scary, lucky Aaron was driving because I would have stopped and stayed in a hotel.

Anyway, we had some other fun with my brother's family. We went to Lambert's, the home of the tossed roll. I had some wonderful memories going with my best friend Lindsey and my grandparents and it was just as fun as I remembered. They have guys walk around with rolls and they throw them across the room for you to catch. Preston really loved it.

We had a great time, but the next day we headed to Arkansas to see my parents and spend a little time with them. My sister and Jack were there too, so that was fun! We had an Easter egg hunt while we were there, indoor of course with all this winter weather.

This was our first spring break and it was wonderful...minus the hives and weather, but being with family is what it's all about!

Firehouse

Today we toured a firehouse on post. They mainly put out airplane fires and work on inspections. It was so much fun! Preston has been saying he wants to be a fire fighter so I thought he was going to have a ball, but this was him the whole first half....

and yes, I am that mom that forces pictures...

I went with my MOPS group, so it was fun to have all my friends and children there.

Chandler wasn't sure, but even after the picture he stayed with the fireman, he wouldn't come back to me. Kinda like he was frozen.....

HEY, I FINALLY GOT A SMILE!!!!!

St. Patricks Day

This year St. Patrick's day landed on Sunday and I landed with a cold, not fun!
The Thursday before I brought treats into the preschool and kindergarten room. Preston helped me make the jello, which took forever!!!! Taking time to let each layer cool really requires patience and plenty of time to prepare, this isn't something you want to do the day of.

The morning of we had a green breakfast then headed to church, it was a low key day since this momma wasn't feeling well......and still isn't!
