Lots of things to catch up on

We have been going and going around here. It has been wonderful though. On August 16th, my best friend Lindsey turned 27. We celebrated by going to a place called the Break Room. It was fun to have a night away and spend time with the girls.
This is Lindsey opening her new Coach purse her family got her.

I also had Lindsey, her mom and sister over for lunch. I made fajitas, so it was easy prep.

The other weekend when Aaron was on call, we had a girl's trip to Lawrence. Taylynn, Alayna and I went and did some shopping and went out to lunch. I got these fabulous curtains you see in the picture above. It was a fun time for all of us. And I think Preston enjoyed having daddy to himself.
This is the only picture I took in Lawrence.

That night we went out to dinner and here are some shots of the kiddos waiting for our table

Taylynn also started soccer last week. Aaron is one of her coaches so I think they'll have a great time. Here are some picture from practice

One Month

Alayna you are one month today.
According to my scale you are 11 pounds.
You still fit into 0-3 month clothes, but they are getting snug.
Alayna you wear size one diaper for now, but your about to move to size two.

You have looked at mommy and smiled a little bit. I am still not sure if you're smiling because of me or just because......
You love your car seat, and that is wonderful. Both Taylynn and Preston hated it and would cry every time we were in the car. I can actually keep you in your car seat and snap it into the stroller when we go to the mall. So nice!
You sleep through all our trips like Target and the mall.
You went to the library today for the first time, you slept through that too.

The other day I was holding you and I called you my princess. Taylynn heard me and said "she's not a princess", don't worry you are a princess.
Taylynn also said today that you were her best friend. I pray that you will be best friends one day.

You sleep well at night. Typically you are up twice, sometimes you think it is time to stay awake.

You will lay down with your toys for a few minutes so mommy can get some things done. I love watching you just lay down and look around.

Preston tried to pick you up today. Don't worry I don't take you out of my site when you are in reach of him. He loves you so much and he thinks your his doll.

You are so loved. I am still getting meals delivered from friends, it has been wonderful and we are so blessed. Everyone loves to come over and see you and hold you and I must say you have gotten TONS of clothes.

We had a party for you last Saturday. You LOVED it! I'll post about that soon.

You coo, but it is quite and not that often. It's sweet!

You do cry, but not for long and not too often.

You become more and more beautiful everyday.

Your family loves you so much.

owl sisters

I redesigned Taylynn's room when she moved into a big girl bed, over a year ago. I have now updated so that she can share a room with Alayna in a few months. As of now Preston is in the room with Taylynn and Alayna is in Preston's room.

Alayna's bed in Preston's room

So I changed only a few things, but major things. I took the letters off the wall as you see here:

After I took the letters off I basically took the wall off because I used double stick tape to put the letters up......oops! Aaron worked on fixing the wall over a months time. This poor guy is probably sick of my projects because he always has a part in something. Thank you Aaron, I appreciate you more than you know.

So after the wall was fixed I added my touch inside the frame. It turned out pretty cute. I just hope Taylynn and Alayna don't grow sick of owls and trees, because they are stuck with it for a while.

This is Preston's side of the room, I bet he'll be so glad to get out of this pink girly room
